From Boxer-Crab to Honeycomb butterfly sea slug

You don't always see big fish when diving. There are lots of tiny creatures, and even smaller ones. It's worth taking a closer look!

Many are only a few millimeters in size.

The video was filmed in the vicinity of Gangga Island in autumn 2026.

Identifying the species of the animals isn't easy for me, as I'm not an expert. Dive guides are a great help here. Internet help is also available, but it's often difficult to find the right species.

**Sapsucking Slug** Ercolania endophytophaga
A tiny, sucking sea slug (Sacoglossa), known for its unique way of feeding: It eats the inside of large bladder algae such as Struvea plumosa, by breaking into the algal cells without destroying them, earning it the name “algal cell eater”.
